ACIES Ventures Suzhou Venture Contest Event Recap

The 2021 “Win the Future” Venture Contest for International Entrepreneurs (“创赢未来” 2021国际创客大赛) was successfully held in Suzhou Industrial Park on 1 June 2021. 

Organised by the Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week Settlement Enterprise Alliance (苏州国际精英创业周落户企业联盟), the contest aims to create a high-end innovation and entrepreneurship platform for professional talents overseas, and strive to vitalise and promote talent acquisition and high-quality projects implementation in Suzhou. 

ACIES Ventures is honoured to be the lead organiser for this year’s overseas division. We have received more than 185 submissions from different entrepreneurial teams in ASEAN who wished to grasp the opportunity to gain support for overseas expansion, in addition to the attractive cash prizes. 

After intense weeks of reviewing the submissions, 10 startups were selected by a panel of esteemed judges, for the live pitching competition held online. All the startups did well, and @FronkaTech stood out to win the competition with the highest score by the judges, made up of prominent state and business leaders of the Suzhou Municipal.

Since 2011, Suzhou has held 47 venture contests for international entrepreneurs in the United States, Europe, Oceania, Japan, Singapore and other countries and regions, attracting more than 28,000 overseas talents to this annual event. 

ACIES Ventures looks to continue to develop opportunities for cross-border collaborations to provide startups with greater exposure to kickstart or to expand their business.
